The mission of the Wopanaak Language Reclamation Project (WLRP) is to reclaim Wopanaak - the Wampanoag language - as the principle means of expression within the Wampanoag Tribal Communities. WLRP students are the first American Indians to reclaim a language and revitalize its use, even with no recent living speakers.
